Detecting Physical Impacts to the Corners of Shipping Containers during Handling Operations Performed by Quay Cranes

This study aims to address the problem of proper shipping container damage detection during hooking procedure performed by quay cranes and their mechanisms. We adopted Impacts Detection Methodology (IDM), developed previously, detect repeated impacts on same areas container. These concurrent indicate false procedures, which result in dangerous metal deformations these over short periods operational time. application intends verify if this methodology is adaptable real-life applications specific events. Our main results that more than half handling procedures are carried out with a higher risk structural containers due impacts, can reach up five some case studies.
